3 Iran Hostage Crisis
Hostage CrisisEnglish-Russian dictionary of regional studies > Iran Hostage Crisis

English-Russian dictionary of regional studies > Carter, James (Jimmy) Earl

17 Tower Commission
["Now I'll go on reading the Tower report till I fall asleep..."]. English-Russian dictionary of regional studies > Tower Commission

19 yellow ribbon
С 1973 стала популярна песня "Повяжи желтую ленту на старый дуб" ["Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Old Oak Tree"]. Эта традиция берет начало в 1830-е, когда такие ленточки носили девушки-возлюбленные кавалеристов, и была популярна песенка "Она носила желтую ленту" ["She Wore a Yellow Ribbon"].English-Russian dictionary of regional studies > yellow ribbon
